  1. Jennifer's Body (09 Kusama D) You're trying too hard dot org. Not a genu'fine bone(r) in its freaktard body (see Diablo, I'm clever too).
  2. Just remembered another thing from The Lovely Bones that bugged me: muzak version of Lisa Gerrard symbolizing ethereal and "at peace." Yech.
  3. @NoelMu (that was a joke btw)
  4. @NoelMu You're Asian?
  5. @nictate I have a sibling who's both bipolar and a recovering addict. It's not a cliche when it cuts so close to the bone I want to hide.
  6. @jrtrussell See, I knew there was a reason Flixster said we were movie soul mates.
  7. @jrtrussell Rent Funny People. Aubrey's in it and she wears thick-frame hipster glasses. (also I think the movie's great but what do I know)
  8. @lmcnelly Sigh. The Sox outfield makes me sad.
  9. @lmcnelly I'm not seeing anything official about it. Where are you reading?
  10. @jahs34 That was actually my favorite scene in the film/of last year.
  11. Carriers (09 Pastor & Pastor C) Low-tech infection thriller is severely crippled by a protagonist who's a douchebag and over-familiarity.
  12. @houx sethnotshep Fair enough. I may have overstated matters slightly (as well as repressed many of these awful films).
  13. @houx The only one of those titles making my bile duct flare is Rev Road, but I think everything Mendes does is awful so I may be blinded.
  14. @sethnotshep Woody puts out a film a year for 40+ years. Law of average says there'll be some stinkers in there, but none in range of TLB.
  15. @scott_tobias And we have a winner (urm loser?). Slight apologies to Mr. Jackson. Still, he's now in the conversation.
  16. @lmcnelly Waterworld was directed by Kevin Reynolds, not Costner (according to screen credit anyway). Both films are better than TLB.
  17. @scott_tobias [vague spoiler] Did that scene in the field w/ Wahlberg and a baseball bat make any sense in the book?
  18. @scott_tobias I honestly can't remember a story this poorly told on screen. It's all disconnected behavior and underdeveloped tangents.
  19. @Patrick_Pogo He's been making films about dwarfs and giant apes for so long he's lost all concept of human behavior. I'm embarrassed 4 him.
  20. @scott_tobias I'm using it as a pejorative to describe what's on screen as opposed to the source (which I haven't read).
