@ VT 50 it is. I have a VT 15 in my studio room for the studes - very versatile & has chorus, reverb, delay, flanger, auto wah etc.

@ ..about £150ish. Stay away from Line 6. If you're flush, Mesa Boogie. Used to use one - outrageous. Let me know what ur thinking.

@ ....have modelling (copy loads of amp sounds - Marshall, Fender etc) & loads of effects. Vox make a nice one - VT15 or VT30....

@ On reflection, the SM58 is very robust and you don't need batteries but the AKG looks cool & comes in a cute wee aluminium case :-)

@ I use a Shure SM58 for micing a cab onstage, but for vocals or classical guitar, an AKG C1000S is excellent at about £120 ;-)
