  1. Excited to be leaving work tonight before the janitorial staff arrive. Not that Lupe isn't a lovely woman, mind you.
  2. @rsa I'm convinced that my cat would condescendingly refer to me as his "helper monkey" if he were capable of using language.
  3. <--- dork.
  4. Giddy to be able to put a Muni pass (with in-city BART) on Translink with automated monthly purchase & pre-tax payment. No more paper pass.
  5. @TiaSoIcYuuup I think you might be the first person to realize! You're looking for @aliciakeys. Say hi for me.
  6. Got my copies of McSweeney's Panorama for $5 each today from a fresh-faced street hawker. Price goes up to $16 tomorrow, don't delay!
  7. I thought "working from home" was supposed to be a euphemism.
  8. @nicole Welcome to America. I think you'll find it feels just like home.
  9. Welcome to the world @eepsprout! I can't wait to meet you. Give your moms @quepol & @abrownie my best.
  10. Excited for inevitable location-hacking some brilliant mind will soon devise. Posted from "Down the rabbit hole, Wonderland".
  11. Udupi Palace had a special on Cylon Paratha. How could I not order it?
  12. @ritualcoffee what do you do with those awesome burlap sacks the Honduran coffee shows up in?
  13. @rachelannyes hemstiched linens & a Rodale cookbook (different from the one I knew about). And when I say Mission Thrift I mean Thrifttown.
  14. Genius plan to send @rachelannyes out of the country in order to claim bounty of Mission Thrift for myself is working perfectly.
  15. Eating persimmons w/ a squeeze of lime juice (recommended), roasting cauliflower, and reading a 19th century shoemaking textbook.
  16. @mmmishu Glad you like it, there's always more jam where that came from.
  17. Half of me regrets gentrification displacing working class families, and half nips to the corner grocer for celery root & organic cream.
  18. Also, no @nytimes Sunday only option on nytimes/thebay. And my sub request failed when I finally found the page with that option. *sigh*
  19. Subscription page for @nytimes in BART ads is in Flash, so nobody can visit on an iPhone. In this region, that's an enormous mistake.
  20. It's very tempting, when disappointed by a bad meal, to eat something else just to end on a high note. Pretty sure that's a bad idea though.
