  1. Trying to convince a Sprint rep to let me out of the contract without paying an early termination fee.
  2. Made grandma and grandpa use the airline checkin computer without any help - for the first time. They succeeded and were so proud!
  3. @randfish These auction sites are straight up evil. Take a look at this article: http://bit.ly/kHtms
  4. Drinking guinness and playin chess with grandpa.
  5. Costco started selling my favorite dim sum dish: Bao, steamed buns with BBQ pork.
  6. @jonkirkpatrick Sorry, man. Banning is just an inappropriate action to resolve technical debates.
  7. @jonkirkpatrick @ is an ancient thing... plus it's really slow... Instead I'd recommend using a custom error handler that throws exceptions
  8. Sending messages to the nil object: who came up with the idea that not crashing in that case is good? Blow up early, avoid data corruption!
  9. Taking the Stanford iPhone app building class... Trying to keep an open mind toward Objective C.
  10. iPhone 3GS, here I come. Taking the plunge, finally. Anybody want a free HTC Touch Diamond with a great Sprint plan?
  11. Last 520 entrance at medina: longest line i've ever seen here.
  12. I-90 is closed for the two weeks... traffic is a total disaster. Gonna try my luck on 520 today.
  13. @mikehostetler @jonkirkpatrick Congrats on SpreadTheFox!
  14. #qcubed QCubed 1.1 is going to get out the door this September... I'm excited!
  15. @jonkirkpatrick Yuuuuuck i'm so not duplicating my stuff across two tables... I'd rather write my own full-text indexing algorithm :-)
  16. @ealeyner Have fun!
  17. RT @randfish: Self control is a great predictor of success; self esteem isn't - http://is.gd/1lOLo - fascinating piece.
  18. @marcosdsanchez Marcos, how's Postgre with stored procs? And with free GOOD tools for schema editing / db manipulation?
  19. @jonkirkpatrick I didn't know... If that's the case, why doesn't InnoDB support a perfect superset of MyISAM features? Ex. full text search?
  20. @jonkirkpatrick Are you crazy? MyISAM doesn't support foreign keys! Or transactions! In my book, that's not a real DB.
