  1. @gdwessel Bear in mind this actual postal submission jazz was good advice eight years ago - check current submissions guidelines!
  2. RT @theisb: I was going to block this guy for spam, but I swear to God this is the best Twitter account I have ever seen: http://is.gd/ ...
  3. @gdwessel Include your email for easy response - after a while you can send pitches through the email, but best not to right away I think.
  4. @gdwessel One at a time - pitch, script with it, then wait. It's slow going at first, so keep up any small press/other work as well.
  5. RT @theisb: Man for real: If you don't like SPEED RACER then you better be able to draw the hell out of my comics cause otherwise I got ...
  6. @Ian_Austin Yay!
  7. RT @matt_timson: WTF?!? http://tinyurl.com/yavv4zj
  8. @Ian_Austin Make it a challenge for 2010 hours - you've got five minutes, go!
  9. @matt_timson Nothing that won't be forgotten by midnight.
  10. @Ian_Austin The best you can get, in my opinion, but then I would say that. Try a one-pager if you feel hardcore.
  11. Surreptitiously watching a fascinating Twitter masochist sighing in ecstacy at his slightly-reddened bottom. Validation through humiliation.
  12. @gdwessel Your mileage may vary - not everyone works that way, and it probably only works for short pieces like FS and TT.
  13. @gdwessel So when writing an FS I think up a twist first and go from there, with TT I think of the most horrific thing I can and so on.
  14. @gdwessel More generalised FS and TT advice... the biggest part of a TT is the HORROR, the biggest part of an FS is the SHOCK.
  15. RT @jamesgraham: RT @pickledpolitics: BBC editors offer pathetic defense of 'homosexual execution' question: http://bit.ly/4IGKar
  16. @gdwessel Or, wait - are you at the script stage now for those?
  17. @gdwessel Also, did Matt ask for 3 at once? If not, sending them all together might be a mistake - send the best and wait.
  18. @gdwessel Not really - take a long hard look at them as if you were reading them, not writing them, is all I can really advise.
  19. @arthurwyatt I wouldn't mind seeing them at Christmas, but pin-ups probably cost less in total.
  20. @arthurwyatt The house ads/letters page is arguably more valuable, I mean.
