  1. Putting some final touches on the next release of the AI Sandbox. It's a double release this time, we made lots of progress in two months!
  2. The "GPL" "Runtime Exception" has to be the worst phrased license paragraph in the history of software licenses.
  3. Programming along to Christmas music will get increasingly difficult as the month continues. So far, I'm being sing-along productive though!
  4. @JurieOnGames You're slowly getting there! It's no longer embarrassing now :-) My record is 8500m or something around there...
  5. The replays in #DiRT2's demo are simply amazing. I had the worst first race, but the replay is the funniest thing ever! Looks awesome too.
  6. @vivaladav Yes, irc.freenode.net channel #gameai -- about 30 people around this time of day.
  7. Inserting more crate objects into our box world to make sure performance of LoS is indicative, but it doesn't compare to modern game levels.
  8. @JurieOnGames "For more information about artificial intelligence in games, visit..." :-)
  9. @MikkoMononen Yes, right! Building an open-source navigation mesh generator using voxel processing is much easier... :-P
  10. @MikkoMononen Glad you're tweeting again, and looking into the corridor method! Now, about that default Twitter avatar...
  11. @SpreeTree @pmjordan True. I thought they were counting full builds, but if you continuously integrate, you should have 8k! We're at r1745.
  12. @IVSoftware Do you multiply your build numbers by 10x or something? :-) Fingers crossed for you guys!
  13. @dougschaefer It'll take another decade for C++0x at least. Though early support in CDT will help cut down those many years of adoption.
  14. Arg, so BRINK is for *Autumn* 2010! I thought it was Spring until this latest video... That changes a lot. Hmm.
  15. @KyleWalsh Sounds like a good way to discredit a new technique or methodology, make a chant about it! Now, for that song about OO...
  16. Finally, you need to introduce yourself to get access to the forums. We've done it from the start; it keeps things friendly and spam-free.
  17. Mr @MikkoMononen reckons Thomas is spilling the beans, but either way it sounds like a very cool technology based on "points of visibility."
  18. If you have forum access: http://j.mp/5Bg2Gm An awesome thread about visibility graphs & some great insights by Thomas Young of PathEngine.
  19. @marcgwilson Thanks! There is no (public) link yet, the code is still in our Premium area only. That's just teaser, I will add a newsletter.
  20. @IVSoftware The iRobot characters isn't a good thing? Fair enough. I think they're cooler though :-) We call them "Marvin" by the way.
