  1. Bull #1 and harem is at 43/21 intersection after long absence. Magnificent animal, huge bow in rack and great symmetry. 43/21 field loaded.
  2. Last evening the field at 43/21 was full of elk, pushed them near the fences. Two herds, lots of satellite bulls. Rain, fog this morning.
  3. AWP site revision seems endless. Three more pages today. More to go. Three days have turned into three weeks, about my standard guess.
  4. Wild dogs running elk in Boxley Valley. No clear jurisdiction. Perhaps the deer hunters will take care of the problem. Sad for elk and dogs.
  5. Good shoot last evening in Lost Valley. #6 and harem and staying in the general area. New photos at http://arkansaswildlifephotography.com
  6. Got the cover of the current issue Arkansas Wildlife Magazine. Big elk #4 to compliment my article. A good month, calendar too. Life is Good
  7. Elk viewing good, herds staying away from North end of Boxley Valley. Early morning and evenings best with bright sun. Steaming breath now.
  8. Arkansas Wildlife Photography website revisions started this weekend. Somewhat new look, added store. http://arkansaswildlifephotography.com
  9. Perfect fall weather, but little color. Great to be outside. Feel a little cheated this year by all the rain. Elk viewing perfect.
  10. Flash flood warnings. Visitors should be cautious. http://bit.ly/fLywp,00060
  11. Migratory birds stopping to visit in Buffalo River region. Great time to visit and photograph the unexpected. Elk rut still strong in Ponca.

  14. After a cold Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be clear, cool fall weather. Color Fest in Ponca going well. Today will be better.
  15. Great weekend weather for viewing if forecast holds. Color Fest at Ponca Elk Ed Center Friday and Saturday, I am doing a free workshop.
  16. Weather appears to be breaking sooner than predicted. Watch the radar, viewing tonight might be good. Unpredictable. Cold for Color Fest.
