  1. Norfolk is in AHL Calder Cup final, awaiting winner of Toronto-Oklahoma City. Toronto up 3-1 in the series after 3-0 shutout tonight.
  2. Saint John beats Shawinigan 4-1. London goes directly to Memorial Cup final. Saint John meets winner of Shawinigan-Edmonton in semi-final.
  3. OTT announces that Luke Richardson will be the new head coach of the AHL's Binghamton Senators.
  4. Now that STL asst coach Scott Mellanby has left the Blues, it won't be a surprise if he surfaces as MTL GM Marc Bergevin's assistant.
  5. VAN announces coach Alain Vigneault has been signed to a contract extension.
  6. Also, thoughts are with Everblade defenceman David Fischer, who left the team Monday to be with his ailing mother. #familyfirst
  7. Good luck to @FL_Everblades, up 3-1 in ECHL Kelly Cup final and trying to close it out tonite at home vs. Las Vegas.
  8. So LAK are off to Cup final for first time since '93, when some guy ticked off Gretzky after G5 vs TOR in WC final. #pianoman #restishistory
  9. In closing, I'd be shocked if Brown is suspended. Tough way for PHX to lose, tho. But that's what usually happens when u dig deep hole early
  10. That last question was my first concern and I thought the referees may have or should have penalized for that but they thought otherwise.
  11. But could Brown have pulled up on hit because it was offside or was there no time to lay off? Was it bang-bang play or a knowing free shot?
  12. Brown went into hit with wide stance but his track never deviated from straight line and upper body contact was made. Not a classic knee.
  13. Based on NHL history, I don't believe league will view it as a knee-on-knee hit as much as a bodycheck with incidental leg on leg contact.
  14. Three questions on the Brown hit. 1. Should it have been a penalty? 2. If so, what penalty? 3. Is it suspendable?
  15. @pkforcalder No, it's not a new contract with MTL. Negotiations haven't started yet.
