  1. Dense chocolate rum ball, barely sweet, potently psychoactive. I could perhaps stay in this job forever, properly drugged.
  2. Counting this year's blessings: http://3rdhouseparty.typepad.com/blog/2009/11/blessings-2009.html
  3. Very aware that Mars transits = very short wick.
  4. Damn. Hearing that Sweet Charity song again: There's gotta be something better than this, there's gotta be something better to do...
  5. The overcast November day admits what we've been overlooking: the slow bleaching of the landscape towards winter.
  6. The few remaining leaves, like Olympic high divers, each readying itself for its splendid solitary fall.
  7. The quiet acoustic quartet serenading me in my sleep are joined by a brass ensemble. Time to wake up!
  8. Slime, stingers and brainless, gelatinous goo http://bit.ly/23P4Mg
  9. Every morning I walk from room to room opening blinds to let the sun in. Then I leave for work, returning after dark.
  10. In the midst of my funk, I notice the Christmas cactus in my office sporting its first sprightly blooms.
  11. Being asked, again, to churn out a crapload of writing (and I do mean crap) in an ungodly short amount of time. Must. Find. Other. Work.
  12. For a few moments this Sunday morning, the Pru tower wears a glowing halo, holding dominion over the damp city.
  13. The dainty blushing roses have been replaced by ornamental kale, zaftig country cousins, squat and jolly, decked out in their Sunday frills.
  14. Gas-powered leaf-blowers, Tuvan throat singers of the suburbs performing for an audience of empty houses. An unanswered call to prayers.
  15. Intrusive dreams of leaky roof and overly friendly spider. The landlady fixes the leaks while I try to sweep out the ardent arachnid...
  16. Fallen leaves on white porches. Autumn really brings out the Yankee Magazine in New England.
  17. New lipstick tastes like Wack-O-Wax lips.
  18. Indian summer: The wind tosses confetti-diced leaves for the grinning pumpkins. Crows caw in approval.
  19. Dreamed of giant pterodactyl-like blue herons. I guess that's redundant.
  20. @KrisLindbeck Thanks, Kris! for the RT and especially the links to others. :-)
