  1. I'm sad. I'm dripping fuel from my center spar vent. That means my wings must come off to renew my fuel tank O rings! I hear it's painless.
  2. Sweet! I just moved into my cozy new hangar at Oakland International Airport. I loved Hayward, but it'll be nice to be out of the sun!
  3. I flew today with my overhauled oil cooler and bypass valve. My oil temp's much better: 220F at full power. Was 245F at reduced power. Yay!
  4. I carried @sbw down to Niles Canyon, then out to Tracy for cheap gas. I like flying around aimlessly more than being chained to my tie-down!
  5. Yay! @sbw finished his BFR and says we may fly up to Napa this weekend, so I can meet some of the family and fly them, if they dare!
  6. We're going flying! @sbw's here to finish up his BFR with an instructor. Hold the good thought for my spark plugs to stay clean!
  7. Rats! Yesterday's flight scrubbed due to a rough mag check. I bet it's the bottom plug in my #3 cylinder fouled again. Suburban's checking.
  8. Yep, I flew today! First flight in 3.5 years. Must keep an eye on #3 cylinder: Both plugs oil-fouled. Got 'em cleaned, now running fine!
  9. Wow! I'm VFR legal! www.precisionstatic.com stopped by to check my xpdr & @sbw installed & swung my overhauled wet compass. We fly tomorrow!
  10. Rats! Nobody available to do my xpdr check today. My mag compass will be ready today, says www.instrumentproinc.com. But no xpdr, no fly!
  11. The guys at Suburban Air Corp installed my repaired cylinder and ran my engine. No leaks! @sbw says we'll fly Saturday. I need xpdr check!
  12. Oh, nice! @sbwsty's new aux battery and dual battery charger, with my new battery along for the ride. Thanks, man! www.urlzr.mp/00/2511
  13. Ack! Suburban sent my #2 cylinder to Long Beach to be worked on. Hope it's back soon. I'm ready to start flying again! www.urlzr.mp/00/2510
  14. Next week I'll visit www.SuburbanAirCorp.com at HWD to have my leaky cylinder fixed. Still hoping to move into a hangar at HWD with @sbwvw.
  15. Bob and @sbw renewed all my tail feathers and my whole trim system. New nose strut. My engine ran great, but needs 1 cyl. I feel brand new!
  16. Bob sealed & riveted one elevator, rudder next. @sbw primed my main gear brackets and painted my nose fork. Chevy orange engine enamel FTW!
  17. Feels good to have a few rusty parts cleaned up. Bob's fixing my squeaky rudder. I've got one low cylinder low, but my engine may run today!
  18. I thought my nose strut felt funny. I'll need a new one! Bob's riveting my elevator. Sullivan's dressing my prop. Engine inspection today.
  19. I last flew on Halloween '05. Today, @sbw and my good friend Bob Steward are coming to lavish me with attention. Hope I'll fly soon!
